For laboratories profiling NK cell immune receptor activity, this Assay Genie ELISA kit delivers quantitative measurement of human CD160 (Cluster of Differentiation 160) using a colorimetric microplate readout. CD160 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored immunoglobulin superfamily receptor expressed on natural killer (NK) cells, cytotoxic CD8+ T lymphocytes, and certain γδ T cell subsets, where it engages HVEM (TNFRSF14) to regulate effector cytotoxicity and co-stimulatory signaling during target cell lysis. Investigators in tumor immunology, chronic viral infection, and transplant biology apply such assays to track receptor shedding and soluble CD160 dynamics across patient cohorts, complementing flow cytometry analyses of membrane expression. The kit is supplied as a 96-assay pack with reagents sufficient for standard curve generation and sample quantitation, compatible with routine ELISA microplate readers. Intended for in vitro research use only. Suitable sample inputs include cell lysates prepared from peripheral blood mononuclear cells and tissue-derived lymphoid populations. Reagents should be stored refrigerated in their original vials to preserve antibody binding activity and minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
