CLN3 (Battenin) is a multi-pass transmembrane glycoprotein of late endosomes and lysosomes, and loss-of-function mutations in its gene cause juvenile neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis (Batten disease). The Human CLN3 ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is an in vitro research-use immunoassay for quantitative measurement of battenin in human research samples, supporting studies in neurodegeneration, lysosomal storage disorders, autophagy, and retinal cell biology.

Battenin localizes to compartments that regulate lysosomal pH, vesicle trafficking, and the clearance of accumulating storage material.
