CLEC2D, also known as LLT1 (Lectin-like transcript 1), is a type II transmembrane C-type lectin that serves as the ligand for CD161 (KLRB1) on NK cells and specific T cell subsets. Ligation of LLT1 by CD161 modulates NK cell cytotoxicity and cytokine secretion, making CLEC2D a relevant biomarker in studies of immune evasion, autoimmune disease, and lymphoid malignancies. Assay Genie's quantitative immunoassay supports translational research by providing accurate measurement of soluble CLEC2D released into clinical specimens.
