Human CLDN2/Claudin-2 ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA, Double Antibody kit is designed for the precise quantification of claudin-2 levels in human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric and absorbance is measured at 450 nm. The assay offers a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.781-50 ng/mL. Claudin-2 is described as a key protein involved in the regulation of tight junctions in epithelial cells, playing a critical role in maintaining cell barrier function and permeability.

Performance characteristics include linearity across serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions. Recovery ranges from 85-102% (average 92%) in serum, 85-100% (average 91%) in EDTA plasma and 89-103% (average 96%) in heparin plasma. The procedure involves equilibration of reagents, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody incubation at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and stop reaction followed by absorbance measurement. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months.
