Human CKB/Creatine kinase B-type ELISA Kit

Published performance figures include a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a detection range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Linearity across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 was 89-104%, 82-101% and 91-100% in serum (n=5); 82-100%, 81-97% and 82-98% in EDTA plasma (n=5); and 85-97%, 86-104% and 91-103% in heparin plasma (n=5). Recovery ranges were 87-105% (average 95%) in serum, 88-104% (average 94%) in EDTA plasma, and 88-99% (average 95%) in heparin plasma. Absorbance is read at 450 nm following TMB substrate development.

Creatine kinase B-type is an enzyme involved in cellular energy metabolism, particularly in skeletal muscle and brain, and its levels are investigated as a biomarker for myocardial infarction, muscular dystrophy and neurodegenerative diseases. Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
