Human CK18/KRT18/Cytokeratin 18 ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of cytokeratin 18 in human samples, this colorimetric sandwich ELISA is supplied by Assay Genie. The assay uses a double-antibody format on a pre-coated microplate, with a biotin-labeled detection antibody, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC), and TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm.

Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. The kit reports a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and a measuring range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Reported linearity spans 86-104% (1:2), 82-98% (1:4), and 80-96% (1:8) for serum; 87-105%, 86-98%, and 84-100% for EDTA plasma; and 91-95%, 87-99%, and 87-100% for heparin plasma (n = 5 for all). Recovery ranges are 85-96% (average 91%) for serum, 86-98% (average 92%) for EDTA plasma, and 89-99% (average 94%) for heparin plasma. Components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Cytokeratin 18 is a protein involved in maintaining the structural integrity of epithelial cells and serves as a marker for epithelial cell damage and apoptosis. Altered levels have been associated with liver disease, cancer, and inflammatory conditions, supporting research applications in these areas.
