Human Citrate synthase, mitochondrial (CS) ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of human mitochondrial citrate synthase (CS), a Krebs cycle enzyme located in the mitochondrial matrix that catalyses the synthesis of citrate from oxaloacetate and acetyl-CoA. The assay is intended for use with human serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and detects both natural and recombinant human citrate synthase. Detection is by ELISA with a colorimetric readout.

Manufacturer specifications include a detection range of 0.625-40 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.3 ng/mL, an Intra CV of 6.0% and an Inter CV of 9.8%. Linearity was assessed in serum (109-118% at 1:2; 107-117% at 1:4; 88-97% at 1:8; 103-113% at 1:16), EDTA plasma (108-118% at 1:2; 97-109% at 1:4; 94-104% at 1:8; 100-110% at 1:16) and heparin plasma (85-94% at 1:2; 106-118% at 1:4; 112-124% at 1:8; 110-120% at 1:16). Recovery averaged 106% in serum (range 100-112%) and 108% in plasma (range 102-114%). The target protein corresponds to UniProt entry O75390 (gene symbol CS).
