Human Citrate Synthase (CS) ELISA Kit

Citrate synthase catalyzes the condensation of acetyl-CoA with oxaloacetate, the rate-controlling first step of the tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle in the mitochondrial matrix. Because its expression tracks mitochondrial content, CS is widely used as a quantitative marker in metabolic research, exercise physiology, mitochondrial dysfunction studies, and investigations of neurodegeneration or skeletal muscle bioenergetics.

This Assay Genie kit provides quantitative measurement of human CS in research samples prepared from serum-derived, plasma-derived, tissue-derived, cell-derived, and culture-derived matrices. Reagents are supplied as a 96-assay pack including a pre-coated plate, recombinant standards, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP, wash buffer, substrate, and stop solution.
