Human Chromogranin A ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA Kit is designed for the quantitative detection of Chromogranin A (also known as CGA) in human samples. It uses a colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich format with a working range of 0.781–50 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.469 ng/mL, and is intended for research applications in cancer and related fields.

The kit is validated for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents are intended to be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity falls within 82–105% across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions, with average recoveries of 98% (serum), 100% (EDTA plasma) and 94% (heparin plasma). Chromogranin A is recognised as a neuroendocrine marker, and elevated levels have been linked to neuroendocrine tumours, cardiovascular diseases, and autoimmune disorders.

The workflow follows a standard sandwich ELISA protocol: reagent equilibration and standard/sample loading; primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes; biotinylated detection antibody incubation for 60 minutes; HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding for 30 minutes; TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes; and absorbance measurement at 450 nm immediately after adding stop solution.
