Human Cholinergic Receptor, Nicotinic, Alpha 3 (CHRNa3) ELISA Kit

The CHRNa3 (Cholinergic Receptor Nicotinic Alpha 3) target is a ligand-gated ion channel subunit central to neuronal nicotinic signaling research, implicated in nicotine dependence, autonomic ganglia function, and certain lung and bladder pathologies. This immunoassay from Assay Genie uses monoclonal capture antibodies raised against an alpha-3-specific extracellular epitope to deliver no significant cross-reactivity with the closely related CHRNa1, CHRNa5, CHRNa7 or CHRNB2 nicotinic subunits, supporting clean human-specific quantification of the alpha 3 protein.

Reagents are supplied as a complete microplate kit with pre-coated 96 wells, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, calibrated recombinant standards, and TMB substrate solution. The protocol requires a 50 uL sample or standard per well and runs to completion in roughly 4.5 hours at room temperature with no heating step. Store all components refrigerated at 4 degrees C, protect the streptavidin-HRP conjugate from light, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of diluted standards; the unopened kit remains stable for approximately six months.
