Human CHGA (Chromogranin A) ELISA Kit (HUES01884)

A Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of Chromogranin A (CHGA) in human samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The kit employs a colorimetric detection principle with a total assay time of 3 h 30 min, a sensitivity of 37.5 pg/mL, a detection range of 62.5-4000 pg/mL and a recovery of 80%-120%.

The assay uses a pre-coated microplate with an antibody specific to human CHGA. Standards or samples are incubated in the wells, followed by a biotinylated detection antibody and an Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. After washing, a substrate solution is added; wells containing the target develop a blue colour that turns yellow upon addition of stop solution. The optical density is measured at 450 nm ± 2 nm, and CHGA concentration is determined from a standard curve. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between human CHGA and analogues was observed.

Chromogranin A is implicated in neurotransmitter release and hormone secretion and is a biomarker of interest in neuroendocrine tumours, pheochromocytoma and heart failure. The kit is intended for research use in cancer, neuroscience, signal transduction, and tags and cell markers. Kit components are stored at 2-8 °C, with the microplate, biotinylated detection antibody, HRP conjugate and reference standard stored at -20 °C, and a sample volume of 100 μL is used per test.
