CXCR7 (also called ACKR3 or RDC1) is an atypical chemokine receptor distinguished by its scavenger role in the chemokine network. The Assay Genie human CXCR7 ELISA quantifies this atypical GPCR across research sample types, supporting work in oncology, cardiovascular biology, and chemokine gradient research.

Two matched antibodies capture the receptor at distinct epitopes within the microplate wells, producing a chromogenic signal whose intensity scales with CXCR7 concentration. Investigators typically prepare cell lysates and tissue homogenates by routine protocols, while serum or plasma specimens are loaded directly after centrifugation. A serial dilution of the supplied calibrator is run alongside unknowns so that absorbance values translate cleanly into receptor density per sample.

CXCR7 binds the chemokines CXCL12 (SDF-1) and CXCL11 (I-TAC) but signals through beta-arrestin rather than classical G-protein cascades, making the receptor a frequent subject of biased signaling studies. Expression profiling by ELISA complements immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and western blot datasets, allowing researchers to correlate receptor abundance with tumor phenotype, progenitor recruitment, or migratory behavior in cell culture models.

The kit ships with a pre-coated microplate, detector antibody, recombinant calibrator, substrate solution, stop solution, wash buffer, and standard diluent; instructions covering reagent handling, plate reading, and data reduction accompany the package. Kit components should be stored as labeled and equilibrated to room temperature before each run. Once equilibrated, the workflow proceeds through incubation, washing, substrate addition, and a final chromogenic read, with results typically ready the same working day.
