CCR4, the C-C chemokine receptor type 4, is a seven-transmembrane G-protein-coupled receptor that binds the chemokines CCL17 (TARC) and CCL22 (MDC) and directs the migration of Th2 lymphocytes and regulatory T cells. Because CCR4 expression is elevated in atopic dermatitis, allergic airway inflammation, Hodgkin lymphoma, and adult T-cell leukemia/lymphoma, it is widely used as a research biomarker, and is the molecular target of therapeutic antibodies such as mogamulizumab in oncology studies.

The Assay Genie Human Chemokine C-C-Motif Receptor 4 ELISA Kit is supplied as a complete 96-assay microplate pack for quantitative in vitro measurement of CCR4 in tissue homogenates, serum samples, plasma samples, and cell culture supernatants. The colorimetric plate-based workflow uses pre-coated strip wells, with kit components shipped for research use only. Standards, detection antibody, and prepared samples should be handled according to the supplied protocol, and kit components should be kept refrigerated between uses to preserve antibody binding activity and prevent freeze-thaw degradation of the conjugate.

The kit is intended for immunology, allergy, and oncology biomarker research. Investigators can use it to compare receptor levels between patient cohorts and healthy donors, to monitor CCR4 expression in stimulated cell models, or to characterize candidate inhibitors in receptor pharmacology studies.
