Chemerin, also designated RARRES2 or TIG2, is a secreted adipokine that functions as a chemotactic ligand for CMKLR1 and influences adipogenesis, glucose homeostasis, and innate immune cell trafficking. Assay Genie provides this research-use immunoassay for quantifying human chemerin in experimental specimens, supporting investigations into metabolic syndrome, chronic inflammatory conditions, psoriasis, and obesity-associated comorbidities.

The kit ships as a complete package containing a pre-coated microplate, lyophilized recombinant standards, matched biotinylated capture and detection antibodies, streptavidin-HRP working solution, concentrated wash buffer, TMB substrate, and stop reagent. Reconstituted standards should be aliquoted into single-use vials to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles; unopened components are stored at 4 degrees C while the lyophilized standard and reconstituted aliquots require freezing at -20 degrees C for long-term stability. The sample volume requirement is 50 µL per well following the recommended dilution, and the full protocol completes within roughly 3-4 hours at room temperature.

Compatible specimens include cell culture supernatant, EDTA-plasma, heparin-plasma, and serum collected under standard clinical handling conditions. Researchers tracking adipokine responses to pharmacological treatment, exploring correlations between circulating chemerin and disease severity, or measuring secreted chemerin in stimulated cell models will find this absorbance-based microplate assay suitable for batch processing of experimental samples in vitro.
