Human CFC1/Cryptic protein ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative measurement of CFC1 (Cryptic protein) in human samples, this sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie uses a double-antibody format with colorimetric detection. The assay supports research in developmental biology, as CFC1 is a key protein known to regulate embryonic development, functioning as a NODAL coreceptor involved in establishing the left-right axis and in mesoderm and neural patterning during gastrulation.

Validated sample types include serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Linearity was assessed at 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with serum spanning 89-105%, 88-104% and 85-102%, EDTA plasma spanning 85-101%, 84-101% and 84-101%, and heparin plasma spanning 88-98%, 82-96% and 86-92%. Recovery ranges were 87-104% (average 97%) for serum, 85-103% (average 94%) for EDTA plasma, and 86-105% (average 96%) for heparin plasma.

The protocol comprises reagent equilibration, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm. The kit is stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
