Description

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative detection of human Cholesteryl Ester Transfer Protein (CETP), also known as BPIFF, HDLCQ10, LTP, Plasma Lipid Transfer Protein, or Lipid transfer protein I. Using a double-antibody sandwich format, the assay supports research into lipid metabolism and the role of CETP in cardiovascular disease and dyslipidemia, providing accurate and reproducible results for studies of cholesteryl ester transfer between lipoproteins.

The kit is validated for use with a broad range of human sample types, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysates, and other liquid samples. Reported performance is a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL with a working assay range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Dilution linearity across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 typically falls within 83–105% for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma (each n=5). Spike-and-recovery ranges are 91–105% (serum, average 98%), 85–105% (EDTA plasma, average 91%), and 86–105% (heparin plasma, average 95%). The associated Uniprot entry is P11597, and the kit is intended for research use only.

The workflow follows a standard sandwich ELISA: equilibrate reagents and TMB substrate, load standards/samples/blanks on the pre-coated plate and incubate at 37°C for 90 minutes, add biotin-labelled detection antibody and incubate at 37°C for 60 minutes, add HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) and incubate at 37°C for 30 minutes, develop with TMB in the dark for 10–20 minutes, then add stop solution and read absorbance at 450 nm. Provided components include a pre-coated dismountable microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labelled antibody (100X concentrate), HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC, 100X), TMB substrate, sample/antibody/SABC dilution buffers, stop solution, 25X wash buffer, plate sealers, and a technical manual. Unopened kits are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
