CEP72 (Centrosomal Protein 72) is a centrosomal component that supports pericentriolar matrix assembly, microtubule organization, and faithful centriole duplication during cell division. Polymorphisms in CEP72 have been linked to differential susceptibility to vincristine-induced peripheral neuropathy, making quantitative protein measurement a useful tool in pharmacogenomic and translational oncology research.

This immunoassay from Assay Genie is provided as a complete reagent set, including a pre-coated microplate with removable 8-well strips, biotinylated detection antibody, enzyme conjugate, sample and conjugate diluents, wash concentrate, chromogenic substrate, stopping solution, and a recombinant protein standard for curve generation.

Workflow: Diluted standards and prepared samples are incubated in the antibody-coated wells to capture the target protein. A biotinylated detection reagent is then added, followed by an enzyme conjugate and chromogenic substrate. Signal intensity in each well is proportional to antigen concentration.

Upon receipt, the kit should be refrigerated at approximately 4°C. The recombinant standard is best stored frozen in single-use aliquots to prevent loss of activity from repeated freeze-thaw events.
