The CEP70 target encoded by the CEP70 gene is a centrosomal scaffolding protein of approximately 70 kDa that localizes to the pericentriolar material and contributes to mitotic spindle organization, microtubule anchoring, and cytokinesis. Aberrant CEP70 expression has been reported in several solid tumor studies, making its quantitative measurement of interest in oncology biomarker research. This immunoassay from Assay Genie is configured for in vitro research use only and is supplied as a complete kit with pre-coated microplate wells, detection antibody, lyophilized standards, buffers, and assay reagents. Reconstituted reagents should be kept refrigerated, and unused strip wells should be sealed inside the foil pouch with desiccant. Laboratory personnel should aliquot clinical specimens promptly and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve antigen integrity, and all kit components are intended to measure endogenous human CEP70 levels only.
