Cellular Retinoic Acid Binding Protein 2 (CRABP2) is a roughly 15 kDa cytoplasmic carrier that shuttles retinoic acid from the cytosol to nuclear retinoic acid receptors (RARα, RARβ, RARγ), modulating retinoid-driven transcription and cellular differentiation. The corresponding ELISA Kit from Assay Genie delivers a quantitative immunoassay for measuring CRABP2 levels in human tissue homogenates and cell lysates, supporting research into cell differentiation, embryonic morphogenesis, and tumor biology, including investigations in breast carcinoma, head and neck squamous cell carcinoma, and neuroblastoma, where altered CRABP2 expression has been linked to proliferation, migration, and retinoid therapeutic response.

This complete ELISA kit ships with reagents sufficient for 96 determinations and uses an absorbance-based readout on a standard microplate reader. A recombinant CRABP2 standard is included for generating the calibration curve, and the assay is intended for research use only in laboratory workflows such as oncology biomarker screening, retinoid pathway characterization, and stem cell differentiation studies.

Each kit contains the pre-coated plate, biotinylated detection antibody, recombinant CRABP2 standard, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, substrate solution, stop solution, and wash buffer. Unopened kits are shipped refrigerated; once received, the standard should be aliquoted to limit freeze-thaw cycles, working antibody dilutions should be protected from light, and the sealed plate packet should equilibrate to room temperature before opening. Assay Genie provides technical support for protocol optimization, standard curve fitting, and plate layout design.
