Human CEL2B/ELA2B ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA is configured for the quantitative measurement of human CEL2B, also referred to as ELA2B or cellulin 2b, in research samples. The kit is reactive with human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples, and uses a colorimetric detection method with a double-antibody sandwich format.

Stated analytical performance includes a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL and a working range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Storage is at 2-8°C for 12 months. Reported linearity in serum is 88-102% at a 1:2 dilution, 85-104% at 1:4, and 86-102% at 1:8 (n=5); EDTA plasma gives 86-98%, 85-101%, and 82-96%; heparin plasma gives 83-97%, 85-100%, and 80-95%. Spike-and-recovery averages are 93% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma, and 92% for heparin plasma, with recovery ranges of 85-105%, 85-105%, and 85-100% respectively.

The protocol begins with reagent equilibration to room temperature, followed by a 90-minute primary incubation at 37°C, a 60-minute biotin-labelled detection antibody step, 30 minutes of HRP-Streptavidin binding, 10-20 minutes of TMB development in the dark, and immediate absorbance reading at 450 nm after adding stop solution. According to the product literature, CEL2B is a protein involved in cell growth and differentiation whose abnormal levels have been linked to cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and neurological conditions, making it a candidate biomarker for research.
