Human CDSN (Corneodesmosin) CLIA Kit (HUES00852)

A sandwich chemiluminescence immunoassay from Assay Genie enables the in vitro quantitative determination of Human CDSN (Corneodesmosin) in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. The assay has a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a detection range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL, with a sample volume of 100μL and a total assay time of 4.5h.

The micro CLIA plate is pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human CDSN. Standards or samples are added to the wells and combined with the specific antibody, followed by successive addition of a biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate. After washing, substrate solution is added and the Relative Light Unit (RLU) value is measured by a chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer; RLU values are positively associated with the concentration of Human CDSN. The kit recognizes Human CDSN in samples with no significant cross-reactivity or interference between Human CDSN and analogues.

Manufacturer performance data report recovery ranges of 88-103% in serum (average 94%), 85-100% in EDTA plasma (average 91%), and 84-95% in cell culture media (average 90%), with both intra-assay and inter-assay CV values less than 15%. CDSN is described as a key protein involved in maintaining the barrier function of the skin and regulating the desquamation process, with abnormalities in CDSN expression linked to skin disorders including psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
