Description

From Assay Genie, this sandwich double-antibody ELISA quantitatively measures human Cerebral Dopamine Neurotrophic Factor (CDNF). The assay is compatible with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months, and the target protein corresponds to Uniprot reference Q49AH0.

Reported performance includes a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25-2000 pg/mL. Spike-and-recovery testing in serum (n=5) yielded a recovery range of 88-98% (average 93%); EDTA plasma (n=5) 85-105% (average 94%); heparin plasma (n=5) 91-99% (average 96%). Linearity was demonstrated at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions: serum (n=5) 86-105%, 84-101%, 81-95%; EDTA plasma (n=5) 88-104%, 86-101%, 82-99%; heparin plasma (n=5) 92-105%, 82-101%, 83-95%.

CDNF, also known by synonyms including ARMETL1, ARMET-like protein 1, Conserved Dopamine Neurotrophic Factor, and arginine-rich, mutated in early stage tumors-like 1, is a neurotrophic factor that supports the survival of dopamine-producing neurons and has been linked to neurological disorders such as Parkinson's disease. The procedure involves primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotinylated detection antibody binding for 60 minutes, HRP-streptavidin incubation for 30 minutes, TMB substrate color development in the dark for 10-20 minutes, and absorbance measurement at 450 nm after the addition of stop solution.
