The Assay Genie human CDK16 ELISA kit enables quantitative measurement of cyclin-dependent kinase 16, also known as PCTAIRE-1 or PCTK1, a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the PCTAIRE subfamily of CDKs. CDK16 plays a role in cell cycle progression, neuronal differentiation, vesicle trafficking, and spermatogenesis, and has been investigated in melanoma, prostate cancer, and glioblastoma research. The kit supports studies into PCTAIRE-1-mediated phosphorylation of substrates such as NDRG1, as well as its interaction with cyclin Y and CDKL family signaling pathways. Researchers working on terminal nerve cell differentiation or X-linked kinase regulation can apply this assay to quantify CDK16 protein concentrations in clinical serum or plasma samples, alongside cell lysates. The assay has been validated for specific detection of human CDK16 with no significant cross-reactivity to the mouse or rat orthologues under standard conditions.
