Human CD81 (CD81 antigen) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie's ELISA Kit for human CD81 antigen is a Sandwich ELISA using a double antibody configuration, designed for the quantitative measurement of CD81 antigen in human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric with absorbance read at 450 nm, and the kit delivers a reported sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL across a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. CD81 antigen, also known as TAPA-1, Tetraspanin-28, TSPAN28, or the CD81 molecule, is a cell-surface protein implicated in immune response regulation, cell signaling, and membrane protein interactions, and has been associated with viral infections, autoimmune diseases, and cancer progression.

The assay workflow proceeds through reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB color development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction read at 450 nm. Reported recovery across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma ranges from approximately 87–101%, with average recoveries between 92 and 94%. Linearity testing at 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions yields ranges broadly between 81 and 105% across the matrices tested. Supplied components include a dismountable ELISA microplate, lyophilized standard, biotin-labeled antibody, HRP-Streptavidin conjugate (SABC), TMB substrate, sample dilution buffer, antibody and SABC dilution buffers, stop solution, wash buffer, plate sealer, and a technical manual. The kit should be stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.
