Human CD68/Macrosialin ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of CD68 (Macrosialin) in human samples including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

CD68, also known as Macrosialin, is a cell surface glycoprotein primarily expressed in macrophages and monocytes, where it contributes to phagocytosis, antigen presentation, and immune response modulation. Elevated CD68 levels have been associated with inflammatory conditions, autoimmune diseases, and certain cancers, making the marker a useful target for disease research and therapeutic investigation.

The colorimetric, double-antibody sandwich assay delivers a sensitivity of 0.188 ng/mL with a working range of 0.313–20 ng/mL. Reported linearity in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma falls between 82% and 104% across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions, with average spike-and-recovery of 92% (serum), 95% (EDTA plasma) and 93% (heparin plasma). Kit reagents are stored at 2–8 °C and remain stable for 12 months under those conditions.
