Human CD5L ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA, double antibody assay from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative, colorimetric detection of human CD5L in serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

CD5L, also known as CD5 antigen-like protein, is described as a regulator of immune responses and inflammation with roles in cell adhesion, apoptosis, and phagocytosis, and has been associated with autoimmune diseases, cancer, and infectious diseases. The workflow uses a biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin binding, and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Sample preparation protocols are provided for serum (centrifuge at 1000 × g for 20 minutes), plasma (1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2–8°C), cell culture supernatant (2500 rpm for 5 minutes), and tissue homogenate or cell lysate prepared with protease inhibitors.

Reported linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 85–105%, 89–104% and 92–98% for serum; 83–99%, 85–101% and 87–101% for EDTA plasma; and 83–100%, 87–97% and 83–100% for heparin plasma. Recovery averages are 92% for serum, 91% for EDTA plasma and 97% for heparin plasma. The kit is stored at 2–8°C for 12 months and includes a dismountable microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, sample, antibody and SABC dilution buffers, wash buffer, stop solution and plate sealer.
