The CD47 target protein, also known as integrin-associated protein or IAP, is a 50 kDa cell-surface glycoprotein widely studied for its role as a "don't eat me" signal in immune evasion. Quantification of circulating CD47 is increasingly relevant in oncology research, particularly for characterizing tumor immune escape mechanisms and evaluating therapeutic antibodies such as magrolimab and other SIRPα/CD47 axis blockers.
