Human CD46/MCP ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA (double antibody) from Assay Genie, this kit is designed for the precise quantification of CD46 — also known as membrane cofactor protein (MCP) — in human samples. The assay is reactive with human serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, and the kit supports immunology research where CD46, a key regulator of the complement system involved in immune response and inflammation, is investigated in contexts including autoimmune, infectious, and inflammatory disease research.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 4.688 pg/mL and a measurable range of 7.813–500 pg/mL. Reported recovery in serum (n=5) is 86–105% (average 91%), in EDTA plasma (n=5) 91–103% (average 96%), and in heparin plasma (n=5) 90–103% (average 99%). Linearity across 1:2, 1:4 and 1:8 dilutions is 88–100% / 88–104% / 88–103% for serum, 83–99% / 84–96% / 84–92% for EDTA plasma, and 80–98% / 82–97% / 82–92% for heparin plasma. Unopened components are stored at 2–8°C for 12 months.

The protocol involves equilibration of reagents and TMB substrate, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labelled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) incubation at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB colour development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance read at 450 nm.
