Human CD42 ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of CD42, also known as glycoprotein Ib alpha, in human samples. CD42 plays a key role in platelet adhesion and activation, and its dysregulation has been associated with blood disorders such as thrombocytopenia and von Willebrand disease.

The assay is intended for use with serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. It uses a double-antibody sandwich format with biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-streptavidin binding, with TMB substrate for colorimetric readout at 450 nm. The reported sensitivity is 1.875 ng/mL and the assay range is 3.125–200 ng/mL.

Reported linearity in serum (n=5) is 83–99% (1:2), 81–94% (1:4), and 87–100% (1:8); in EDTA plasma (n=5) 85–101%, 91–101%, and 82–100%; and in heparin plasma (n=5) 91–104%, 85–105%, and 85–100%. Spike-and-recovery averages are 91% for serum, 94% for EDTA plasma, and 92% for heparin plasma.
