Human CD40 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS0382)

The Human CD40 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit from Assay Genie targets the type I transmembrane glycoprotein CD40, also called TNFRSF5, a 48 kDa member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily expressed on B lymphocytes, dendritic cells, macrophages and other antigen-presenting cells. Engagement of CD40 by its trimeric ligand CD154 drives B cell proliferation, immunoglobulin isotype switching, germinal center formation and the co-stimulatory signaling required for T cell priming, which is why circulating CD40 is monitored in immunology, transplantation, vaccine development and oncology research.

The microplate-based immunoassay uses a human-specific capture antibody pair and is calibrated against recombinant human CD40 standards. It is validated for human cell culture supernatant, plasma and serum specimens, and shows no significant cross-reactivity with related TNF receptor family members such as CD27, CD30 or Fas under standard assay conditions. Pre-coated wells and ready-to-use reagents are supplied for research use only.

Unopened kits should be stored refrigerated at 4 °C and equilibrated to room temperature before use; once opened, individual components remain stable refrigerated for up to one month under the same storage conditions. The standard protocol uses a sample volume of 100 uL per well, conserving limited clinical material while supporting the 96 assays in each kit.
