Human CD209 antigen (CD209) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie is intended for quantitative detection of human CD209 antigen in research applications. CD209, also known as DC-SIGN, CLEC4L, C-type lectin domain family 4 member L and dendritic cell-specific ICAM-3-grabbing non-integrin 1, is described as a pathogen-recognition receptor expressed on the surface of immature dendritic cells and involved in initiation of primary immune responses.

The kit is reactive with human samples and accepts serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernatants and other biological fluids. The stated detection range is 78-5000pg/ml with a sensitivity of 40.9pg/mL; intra-assay CV is 5.3% and inter-assay CV is 7.1%. Detection is reported as colourimetric ELISA, and the assay is specific for natural and recombinant human CD209 antigen (UniProt Q9NNX6). Reported recovery is 87% (range 81-93%) for serum and 89% (range 83-95%) for plasma.

According to the supplied UniProt-derived function notes, CD209 acts as an attachment receptor for a broad panel of viral agents, including HIV-1, HIV-2, ebolavirus, cytomegalovirus, HCV, dengue virus, measles virus, herpes simplex virus 1, Influenzavirus A, SARS coronavirus, Japanese encephalitis virus, Lassa virus, marburg virus, respiratory syncytial virus, rift valley fever virus and west-nile virus.
