Human CD166 antigen (ALCAM) ELISA Kit

A sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human CD166 antigen (ALCAM) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for research use only, supporting investigations in immunology and related fields.

Key performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.078 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 6.5%, and an inter-assay CV of 9.2%. The kit is specific for natural and recombinant human CD166 antigen and recognises activated leukocyte cell adhesion molecule (ALCAM), also referred to as CD166 and MEMD, a cell adhesion molecule implicated in immune response, cell migration, cancer metastasis and inflammatory disorders.

Linearity has been demonstrated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across serial dilutions, with recovery ranging from 88–100% in serum (average 94%) and 90–102% in plasma (average 96%).
