Human CD146/MCAM/MUC18  ELISA Kit

From Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the precise quantification of CD146 in human samples. CD146, also known as MCAM or MUC18, is a cell adhesion molecule involved in processes including cell migration, invasion, and angiogenesis, and is implicated in cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and inflammatory conditions, making it a valuable biomarker for research in oncology, cardiovascular research, and immunology. The assay uses a double antibody sandwich format with colorimetric detection.

Reported sensitivity is 0.375 ng/mL with an assay range of 0.625-40 ng/mL. Linearity across dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8) was demonstrated in serum (n = 5): 86-100%, 93-103%, 92-100%; EDTA plasma (n = 5): 83-97%, 85-100%, 80-95%; and heparin plasma (n = 5): 88-105%, 85-101%, 82-98%. Recovery data show averages of 97% for serum (range 93-100%), 95% for EDTA plasma (range 92-102%), and 93% for heparin plasma (range 86-99%).

The kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reagents should be stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
