Human CD14 PharmaGenie ELISA Kit (SBRS0361)

Quantitative measurement of soluble human CD14 from cell culture supernatants, plasma, and serum using a plate-based immunoassay format. CD14 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol-anchored surface receptor expressed predominantly on monocytes and macrophages, where it binds lipopolysaccharide complexed with LPS-binding protein and presents it to TLR4-MD2, triggering downstream inflammatory signaling. Quantifying shed or soluble CD14 in circulation is widely used as an in vitro biomarker of monocyte activation, sepsis severity, and chronic inflammatory disease states. Each kit provides a microplate pre-coated with capture antibody, along with detection reagents for a colorimetric readout. A standard curve is generated from recombinant human CD14 supplied with the kit. The assay is intended for research use only and should be stored refrigerated between uses to preserve antibody binding activity.
