Description

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this sandwich ELISA kit (double antibody format) enables quantitative measurement of CCL17/TARC in research samples. The assay is reactive with human samples and validated for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Detection is colorimetric, with a sensitivity of 18.75 pg/mL and a working range of 31.25–2000 pg/mL. Reagents are stored at 2–8°C and remain stable for 12 months under these conditions.

CCL17, also referred to as thymus and activation-regulated chemokine (TARC) or C-C motif chemokine 17 (synonyms include ABCD-2 and SCYA17), is implicated in immune responses, inflammatory processes, allergic reactions, autoimmune disorders, and certain cancers. The kit is associated with Uniprot accession Q92583 and is intended for cell biology research, serving as a tool for studying CCL17 as a biomarker in health and disease.

The assay follows a six-step protocol: reagent and plate preparation, primary incubation at 37°C for 90 minutes, biotin-labeled detection antibody binding at 37°C for 60 minutes, HRP-Streptavidin (SABC) binding at 37°C for 30 minutes, TMB substrate development in the dark for 10–20 minutes, and a stop reaction with absorbance read at 450 nm. Linearity has been validated for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma across 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8 dilutions (ranges broadly 80–105%), and recovery rates generally fall between 85–102% with averages around 94–96% across these sample types.
