Human Caveolin-1 (CAV1) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative, colorimetric measurement of human Caveolin-1 (CAV1), also known as CAV, in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay detects both natural and recombinant human Caveolin-1 and is reactive with human samples.

Caveolin-1 is a scaffolding protein of caveolar membranes that regulates cellular signaling, lipid metabolism and endocytosis; its dysregulation has been implicated in cancer, cardiovascular disorders and metabolic syndromes. Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.056 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.3% and an inter-assay CV of 7.5%. Spike-and-recovery averages 96% (range 90–102) in serum and 98% (range 92–104) in plasma. Linearity in serum spans 83–117% across 1:2–1:16 dilutions. UniProt Q03135. For research use only.
