Human Caveolin 1 (CAV1) ELISA Kit

Quantitative immunoassay from Assay Genie for measuring Caveolin-1 protein in human-derived samples. Caveolin-1 is the principal structural component of caveolae, flask-shaped invaginations of the plasma membrane involved in lipid raft organization, vesicular trafficking, and receptor signaling. Altered CAV1 expression has been documented across cardiovascular pathophysiology, idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, and several solid tumors including prostate and breast carcinomas, making this analyte a recurring target in cell biology, oncology, and vascular research programs.

The kit is supplied in a microplate-based format and uses a colorimetric readout compatible with standard laboratory plate readers. It is validated for use with tissue homogenates, cell lysates, and cell culture supernatants. Contents include a pre-coated microplate, vials of detection antibody and recombinant standard, substrate solution, wash buffer, and stop reagent needed to generate a standard curve for sample interpolation.
