Description

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the accurate detection of Human Cation-independent mannose-6-phosphate receptor (IGF2R) in human samples. The kit is reactive with human samples and validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. It employs a colorimetric detection method and shows specificity for natural and recombinant human Cation-independent mannose-6-phosphate receptor.

Performance characteristics include a detection range of 0.312–20 ng/ml and a sensitivity of 0.174 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 7.8% and inter-assay CV is 11.6%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma. Recovery averages 104% for serum (range 98–110%) and 106% for plasma (range 100–112%).

IGF2R is a multifunctional type I transmembrane protein that binds insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF2) and mannose-6-phosphate-tagged proteins, playing a critical role in regulating cellular growth and differentiation by targeting IGF2 for degradation. Dysregulation of IGF2R has been associated with various diseases such as cancer, diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders, making it a valuable biomarker for research. The receptor is localised to the lysosome membrane and is also known by synonyms including CD222, MPR 300, M6P/IGF2 receptor, and insulin-like growth factor II receptor (UniProt: P11717). For research use only.
