Cathepsin X (also called Cathepsin P) is a lysosomal cysteine protease implicated in integrin signaling, neutrophil phagocytosis, and tumor cell invasion. The Assay Genie PharmaGenie ELISA Kit delivers a quantitative immunoassay for measuring this enzyme in human specimens, supporting oncology, neuroscience, and immunology research programs.

Validated for use with human plasma and serum samples as well as conditioned cell culture supernatant, the kit provides a versatile tool for translational research. Each kit includes pre-coated microplate strips, biotinylated detection antibody, streptavidin-HRP conjugate, lyophilized protein calibrators, diluent, wash buffer, and chromogenic substrate. The workflow follows a standard add-incubate-wash-read sequence, where prepared samples and standards are added to coated wells, the detection reagent is introduced, unbound material is washed away, and the substrate develops a measurable signal proportional to analyte concentration.

To preserve reagent activity, refrigerate unopened components at the recommended storage temperature and protect conjugate vials from light. Allow all reagents to reach room temperature before initiating the run. Reconstituted standards should be aliquoted and frozen to minimize repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Configured in a microplate format with reagents for up to 96 determinations in duplicate, the kit is intended for research use only. Assay Genie supplies technical protocols and standard-curve examples to streamline method transfer between laboratories.
