Human Cathepsin S/CTSS ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA kit from Assay Genie for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cathepsin S (CTSS) concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids. Reactivity is specific to human samples, supporting research into cell biology and disease mechanisms.

The assay delivers a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/ml across a standard range of 78.125–5000 pg/ml, with intra-assay CV below 8% and inter-assay CV below 10%. Validated recovery averages 95% in serum, 98% in EDTA plasma and 98% in UFH plasma, and serial-dilution linearity has been demonstrated across these matrices. The kit is intended for Research Use Only, with components stored at 4°C for up to six months and selected lyophilised components also suitable for –20°C.

Cathepsin S is a lysosomal cysteine protease (UniProt P25774) with roles in antigen processing and presentation via MHC class II, adaptive immunity and extracellular matrix remodelling, and has been linked to inflammatory and autoimmune disease research. The kit is supplied with a pre-coated microplate, lyophilised standard, biotin-labelled detection antibody, HRP-streptavidin conjugate, TMB substrate, stop solution, wash buffer, dilution buffers and plate sealers.
