Human Cathepsin S (CTSS) ELISA Kit

This sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie is intended for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Cathepsin S (CTSS) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The assay recognises both natural and recombinant human Cathepsin S and is reactive with human samples.

According to the manufacturer, the kit shows a sensitivity of 34pg/mL, a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.1% and an inter-assay CV of 10.4%. Linearity was demonstrated by spiking samples with Human CTSS and testing serial dilutions, while recovery was assessed in serum and plasma matrices. The target protein (UniProt P25774) is a lysosomal thiol protease involved in antigen processing and presentation via MHC class II molecules, and the kit is intended for research in the area of signal transduction.
