Human Cathepsin G (CTSG) ELISA Kit

A sandwich-format immunoassay from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of human Cathepsin G (CTSG) in research samples, with reactivity specific to human specimens.

The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and shows specificity for both natural and recombinant human Cathepsin G. Detection is by ELISA (colorimetric). Reported performance figures include a detection range of 0.156-10 ng/mL, a sensitivity of 0.055 ng/mL, an intra-assay CV of 5.1%, and an inter-assay CV of 7.2%. Linearity has been evaluated in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma across dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16, with recovery averages of 80% in serum and 82% in plasma.

Cathepsin G is a serine protease with trypsin- and chymotrypsin-like specificity that cleaves complement C3 and has antibacterial activity against the Gram-negative bacterium P. aeruginosa. The target is associated with signal transduction research and is located at the cell surface. For research use only.
