Human Cathepsin F (CTSF) ELISA Kit

Assay Genie provides a Sandwich ELISA Kit designed for the quantitative measurement of human Cathepsin F (CTSF) in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. Cathepsin F is a thiol protease that participates in intracellular degradation and turnover of proteins and has also been implicated in tumor invasion and metastasis.

The kit uses a colorimetric detection method and is intended for research use only, with reactivity specifically for human samples. It recognises natural and recombinant human Cathepsin F, an enzyme localised to the lysosome that is relevant to immunology and broadly linked to antigen processing and presentation, tissue remodeling, and immune responses. Dysregulation of Cathepsin F has been associated with cancer, autoimmune disorders, and inflammatory conditions, supporting its use as a potential biomarker.

Reported performance characteristics include a detection range of 78-5000pg/mL and a sensitivity of 27pg/mL. Precision is reported as an intra-assay CV of 4.5% and an inter-assay CV of 9.0%. Linearity has been assessed across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8, 1:16) for serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma. Recovery is reported as 89% (range 83-95%) for serum and 91% (range 85-97%) for plasma.
