Human Cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide (CAMP) ELISA Kit

A colorimetric Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie for the quantitative measurement of human Cathelicidin antimicrobial peptide (CAMP), also referred to in the literature as 18 kDa cationic antimicrobial protein, CAP-18, HSD26, CAP18 and FALL39. The kit is intended for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is specific for both natural and recombinant human CAMP (UniProt P49913), a secreted 19,301 Da protein that binds bacterial lipopolysaccharides and mediates antibacterial activity as part of the innate immune response.

Performance characteristics reported by the manufacturer include a detection range of 125-8000pg/mL, a sensitivity of 44pg/mL, an intra-assay CV of 4.2% and an inter-assay CV of 6.9%. Sample linearity has been validated in serum (80-90% to 110-120% across 1:2-1:16 dilutions), EDTA plasma (95-108% to 99-109%) and heparin plasma (99-112% to 105-116%), with average recoveries of 80% (range 80-86%) for serum and 82% (range 80-88%) for plasma.
