Human Catechol O-methyltransferase (COMT) ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the accurate quantification of human Catechol O-methyltransferase (COMT), an enzyme that catalyses the O-methylation and inactivation of catecholamine neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine and epinephrine. The assay is reactive with human samples and is suited to research applications in the neurosciences, where dysregulation of COMT has been associated with neurological and psychiatric disorders.

Reported performance includes a detection range of 0.156–10 ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.023 ng/mL. Intra-assay CV is 6.5% and inter-assay CV is 9.9%. The assay is specific for natural and recombinant human COMT (UniProt P21964).

Compatible sample types include serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids. The kit is for research use only.
