Human Catalase ELISA Kit

Designed for the quantitative detection of human catalase, this Sandwich ELISA Kit from Assay Genie is specific for natural and recombinant human catalase. It is validated for use with serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids, and is intended for research use only.

Key performance figures include a detection range of 0.312-20ng/mL and a sensitivity of 0.085ng/mL. Intra-assay precision is reported as 4.1% CV and inter-assay precision as 8.3% CV. Average recovery is 101% (range 95-107%) for serum and 103% (range 97-109%) for plasma. Linearity was demonstrated across serial dilutions (1:2, 1:4, 1:8 and 1:16) in serum, EDTA plasma and heparin plasma samples.

Catalase is a peroxisomal antioxidant enzyme that converts hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen, protecting cells from oxidative damage. The kit supports research applications in neuroscience and the broader study of oxidative stress, and is associated with UniProt entry P04040.
