Human Caspase-7 ELISA Kit

Manufactured by Assay Genie, this Sandwich ELISA kit is designed for the quantitative measurement of Caspase-7 in human samples using a double-antibody detection format with a colorimetric readout. Caspase-7 is an enzyme involved in apoptosis and programmed cell death, and its dysregulation has been linked to cancer, neurodegenerative disorders, and autoimmune diseases, making accurate quantification valuable for cell death research.

The kit accepts serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples. Reported sensitivity is 0.188 ng/mL with a working range of 0.313-20 ng/mL. Spiked recovery across serum, EDTA plasma, and heparin plasma averages 95-96%, with linearity between 80-104% at dilutions of 1:2, 1:4, and 1:8. The assay is run on a pre-coated microplate using a biotin-labeled detection antibody, an HRP-streptavidin conjugate (SABC), and TMB substrate, with absorbance read at 450 nm. Unopened kit components are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.

Sample handling guidance includes clotting blood and centrifuging serum at 1000 × g for 20 minutes, collecting plasma in anticoagulant tubes and centrifuging at 1000 × g for 15 minutes at 2-8°C, homogenising tissue in PBS with protease inhibitors, and clarifying cell culture supernatant at 2500 rpm for 5 minutes.
