Human Caspase 14 (CASP14) ELISA Kit

The Assay Genie Human Caspase 14 (CASP14) ELISA Kit is built for quantitative measurement of human CASP14 in research-derived samples. Caspase 14 is a distinctive, non-apoptotic member of the caspase family with restricted tissue expression, most abundant in differentiating epidermal keratinocytes. It is required for proper filaggrin processing, cornified envelope formation, and the structural maturation of the stratum corneum. The kit is therefore well matched to dermatology research, including studies of skin barrier dysfunction in atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, ichthyosis, and wound healing contexts.

Capture antibodies pre-coated on the microplate bind CASP14 from prepared samples, and a conjugated detection antibody generates a measurable signal proportional to antigen concentration. A recombinant standard curve is included so that absolute concentrations can be interpolated in cell lysates and tissue homogenates. The 96-assay plate format is intended for research use only and is processed with standard laboratory ELISA workflows.

Handling notes: keep all components refrigerated, protect the substrate from light, and aliquot reconstituted standards before freezing to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Final assay volume per well is approximately 100 µL, allowing the kit to be applied across multi-condition studies where sample material may be limited.
