Human CART/Cocaine- and amphetamine-regulated transcript ELISA Kit

A Sandwich ELISA from Assay Genie designed for the quantitative measurement of CART (Cocaine and Amphetamine Regulated Transcript) in human samples. The neuropeptide CART is involved in the regulation of appetite, energy balance, and reward pathways, making it a target of interest for research into obesity, eating disorders, and addiction. The assay is intended for serum, plasma, cell culture supernatant, cell or tissue lysate, and other liquid samples.

The kit reports a sensitivity of 46.875 pg/mL and an assay range of 78.125-5000 pg/mL. Reported linearity in serum (n=5) is 89-105% at 1:2, 82-99% at 1:4, and 82-97% at 1:8; EDTA plasma (n=5) shows 85-104%, 82-97%, and 82-97%; heparin plasma (n=5) shows 95-105%, 82-89%, and 84-96%. Mean recovery is 96% for serum, 99% for EDTA plasma, and 93% for heparin plasma. The protocol uses a biotin-labeled detection antibody and HRP-streptavidin with TMB substrate, and absorbance is read at 450 nm after a stop step. Reagents are stored at 2-8°C for 12 months.
