Human Carnitine Palmitoyltransferase 1B, Muscle (CPT1B) ELISA Kit

CPT1B encodes the muscle-specific isoform of carnitine palmitoyltransferase 1, the outer mitochondrial membrane enzyme responsible for the rate-limiting transfer of long-chain acyl groups to carnitine, enabling import into the mitochondrial matrix for β-oxidation. Expression is concentrated in skeletal and cardiac muscle, where the enzyme links fatty acid oxidation to contractile ATP demand, and altered CPT1B regulation has been investigated in insulin resistance, diabetic cardiomyopathy, and exercise-adaptation research. The kit is supplied in a 96 assays format with a colorimetric endpoint read at standard absorbance wavelengths, and is validated for use with tissue homogenates.
